Increase your productivity, connect with other designers, and make progress on your goals when you join us for The Quilt Pattern Launch Retreat! Our collective goal at the end of the event is for each participant to have made connections, learned about their business, have written a draft for a new pattern, and have a plan for their pattern launch.
 
This five-day/four-night retreat is designed for both experienced designers who want to get away, find new perspective, and reset, as well as novice designers wanting to level-up their pattern writing. Days will include classes on pattern writing - from software to color theory to marketing. Evenings will have time for connection, pattern writing, and sewing.
 
Each designer will be provided a table in the retreat space for evening sewing/computer work. All participating designers will be invited to include a quilt in the Pattern Designer Exhibit at the Missouri Quilt Museum.
 
On-site lodging and Commuter tickets available. Quilters staying on-site will be hosted in one of the Hamilton Retreat Suites. Each suite has 2 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Each bedroom houses 5 quilters in their own beds.
 
Meet your Instructors
Carolina Moore is a Quilt Pattern Designer, Notion Inventor, and YouTuber. She has combined her 30+ years of quilting experience with her background in sales and marketing to design innovative quilting tools including the Carolina Moore Glow Ruler™, Foundation Piecing Water Pen, and Boxed Bag Template. She is the Art Gallery Fabrics Sewlebrity, a Baby Lock Ambassador, and Accuquilt Licensed Die Designer.
 
Teresa Coates is a pattern designer, sewing educator, and maker who’s spent more than a decade helping others feel confident behind the machine. Known for her popular quilt coat patterns and thoughtful approach to teaching, she blends creativity with practical know-how to make garment sewing feel approachable for all skill levels. Teresa has taught in quilt shops, at retreats, and on live-streamed sewing shows, building a loyal community of makers across the country. She’s especially passionate about helping quilters try something new, whether it’s sewing their first wearable or experimenting with patchwork in unexpected ways. In every class, Teresa brings patience, humor, and a deep love of fabric—plus plenty of real-world tips you won’t find in a pattern. Her goal: to help you sew something you’ll actually want to wear.

Sewing stations will not be assigned but may be selected upon arrival.
 
Our sewing hall will knock your socks off! Each guest will have their own 6 foot table and a chair, and plenty of outlets. The lighting is wonderful. We provide ironing stations at each block of tables, but you are welcome to bring your own mini iron for your station. We will have cutting stations set up also! You may consider bringing an extra chair pad-especially if you have a favorite! We also have free WIFI and 2 massage chairs in the hall.
 
We work hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our boutique-esque guests' suites include:
2 bedroom suites, with shared living room and 3-4 bathrooms. 5 twin beds in each bedroom.
