Join Andover fabric designer Amy Latta for a creative, joy-filled retreat where your quilting skills meet fashion flair. Over the course of three inspiring sessions, you’ll craft unique, personalized wearable pieces that showcase your creativity and love of fabric. Whether you’re a seasoned quilter or new to sewing apparel, you’ll leave with stunning projects — and a wardrobe that tells your story!
 
🌸 MINI QUILT BLOCK HAT
Give your favorite baseball cap a stylish upgrade! Learn to design and stitch an adorable miniature quilt block in your favorite fabrics and colors, then attach it to your hat for a one-of-a-kind accessory that shows off your quilting personality wherever you go.
We will provide a new hat and supplies to make this project at retreat.
 
🌻 SUNFLOWER T-SHIRT
Brighten your day (and your closet!) with this happy, sunshine-inspired project. Using Amy’s Sunny Honey fabric collection . You’ll create a blooming sunflower design that becomes the centerpiece of a cheerful t-shirt or sweatshirt. We will provide all fabric supplies for this project. Please bring a t-shirt or sweatshirt. 
 
⭐ EMBELLISHED DENIM JACKET
Turn a simple denim jacket into a patriotic masterpiece! Using Amy’s Oh Say Can You Sew fabric collection, you’ll create a striking star block featuring a flag in the center — the perfect piece to celebrate America’s 250th birthday in style. Add fussy-cut appliqué flowers or miniature quilt blocks to the front for an extra creative touch. It’s recycling, quilting, and fashion all in one fabulous project! We will provide all fabric and supplies for this project. We ask that you bring a thrifted Denim jacket or vest.

On-site lodging and Commuter tickets available. Quilters staying on-site will be hosted in one of the Hamilton Retreat Suites. Each suite has 2 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Each bedroom houses 5 quilters in their own beds.
 
Meet your Instructor: Amy Latta is an artist, author, and designer who loves teaching people to create beautiful things. In addition to sharing tutorials and patterns on her website, amylattacreations.com, she teaches virtual and in-person workshops all across the country through venues like Michaels Community Classroom and Pinners Conference. Amy regularly appears on lifestyle shows like Good Day PA, Hello Iowa, AM Northwest, and more with simple projects anyone can create. Her books, including the best-sellers Hand Lettering for Relaxation and Doodle Everything are designed to teach lettering and drawing skills to everyone from ages 6-106, and her newest book Quilting for Everyone teaches 28 fun projects anyone can create! Amy's lettering designs have been featured in stores and advertisements by companies including GAP and Starbucks. Although Amy learned to sew at a young age, she only began quilting in 2022 when she partnered with Missouri Star Quilt Company for a YouTube series about hand lettered quilt labels. Now, working with fabric is one of her favorite ways to create, and it is a dream come true to combine her passions for drawing and quilting by designing fabric collections for Andover Fabrics. Amy lives with her husband and two sons in Maryland.

Are you coming with a group? CHOOSE YOUR ROOMS together at checkout by selecting the same ROOM #. If a room number doesn't appear- it is full.
 
Sewing stations will not be assigned but may be selected upon arrival.
Our sewing hall will knock your socks off! Each guest will have their own 6 foot table and a chair, and plenty of outlets. The lighting is wonderful. We provide ironing stations at each block of tables, but you are welcome to bring your own mini iron for your station. We will have cutting stations set up also! You may consider bringing an extra chair pad-especially if you have a favorite! We also have free WIFI and 2 massage chairs in the hall.
 
We work hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our boutique-esque guests' suites include:
2 bedroom suites, with shared living room and 3-4 bathrooms. 5 twin beds in each bedroom.
Endless HOT water!!
Pillowtop mattresses and soft linens!
Complimentary ear plugs ( you are welcome)
Complimentary toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, shower cap. There is also a blow dryer in each suite.
Individual guest towels, hand towels and make up towels are also provided.
Charging cubes with multiple outlets and USB ports at each nightstand
Temperature-controlled bedrooms and living rooms.
Our entire facility, including guest rooms and event hall, is on ground level. No stairs are required.
